Vision Tech Event-Based Session: Neuromorphic Sensing in Motion: From Event-Based Vision to Adaptive Intelligence
21 January 2026 • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM PST | West Expo Stage 1 (Moscone West, Exhibit Level)
Neuromorphic sensors are reshaping machine perception, delivering asynchronous, low-latency, and energy efficient data inspired by biological vision. With early breakthroughs from Prophesee, the technology has progressed from research labs to practical applications. Where does the field stand today, and what barriers still prevent neuromorphic sensing from becoming mainstream?

This panel brings together leaders from Tempo Sense, Prophesee, Omnivision, VoxelSensors, and Hexagon Robotics to explore the current state of event-based vision and its adoption across industrial automation, defense, consumer robotics, spatial computing, and surveillance. The discussion will address ongoing challenges such as integration, software limitations, and the lack of standardization. Panelists will also examine emerging architectures and modular brain inspired algorithms that support real time decision making and adaptive behavior.

Looking ahead, the panel will offer a strategic view of neuromorphic sensing as a foundation for scalable edge-based intelligence, where systems respond instantly, adapt contextually, and operate efficiently across demanding environments. From foundational breakthroughs to emerging applications, this session highlights how modern sensing hardware and algorithms are unlocking new capabilities in autonomy, precision, and cross domain performance.
