Time domain modeling of actively modulated semiconductor lasers
Abstract
The generation of short laser pulses, by mode-locking and gain-switching techniques is of great interest both scientifically as for real-world applications. In this contribution, we theoretically explore mode-locked and gain-switched devices with added spontaneous emission noise.
