Efficient high harmonic generation at the paraxial limit with sub-µJ pulse energies

13 April 2026 • 17:00 - 17:20 CEST | Churchill (Niveau/Level 1)

Abstract

Here we generate efficient high order harmonics with an IR driver focused down to the paraxial limit, using sub-µJ pulse energies and operating at a repetition rate of 2 MHz.

Maria-Carla Lupu is a PhD student at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, in Japan. She is a member of the Femtosecond Spectroscopy Unit, under the supervision of Prof. Keshav Dani. She received her BS and MS from University Politehnica of Bucharest, Faculty of Applied Sciences, with an emphasis on lasers and particle accelerators. Her current research focuses on high-harmonic generation, particularly in XUV generation with a microplasma source.
