Overview of Anduril infrared imaging capabilities (Invited Paper)

Abstract

Anduril is a fast growing defense technology company that is reshaping the way the US Department of War procures systems. Anduril develops products, often self-funded, using an agile approach to iteratively engineer and rapidly field new capabilities. An overview of the Imaging business line, which produces a variety of infrared sensors and systems, will be presented.

Jamal Mustafa is a Staff Focal Plane Array Engineer at Anduril Imaging in Goleta, California. Jamal earned his PhD in condensed matter physics from UC Berkeley in 2016, after which he spent nearly a decade at Raytheon Vision Systems designing and developing optoelectronic detectors and adjacent technologies across the visible to infrared spectrum, with particular expertise in silicon, III-V, and II-VI materials. In his current role at Anduril, Jamal works on detector design, firmware and software development, and device testing and characterization.
