Abstract

Dr. Manser will discuss her work as Subject Matter Expert in Synthetic Data for the Army's DEVCOM C5ISR Center, focusing on applications for Defense in Computer Vision and related AI/ML tasks. The talk centers on the complexity of synthetic data generation, efforts to improve fidelity and performance, and a diverse array of current applications spaces.

Dr. Kimberly Manser is the Subject Matter Expert for Synthetic Data at the US Army C5ISR Center. Her main research areas include simulation and data generation for AiTR, C2 and counter-C2, AI hardening and adversarial AI, Camouflage / Concealment / Deception, counter-UAS, personnel training, perception testing, and threat visualization. She serves as PI and technical lead for synthetic data efforts in several ongoing Army programs and is the current chair of both the SPIE DCS Synthetic Data Conference and the Synthetic Data session at MSS Parallel under the Battlefield Survivability and Discrimination Track.
