SPIE Registration

Registration payments

Registration will be open online throughout the event.


Receipt and Certificate of Participation

Preregistered attendees who need an SPIE-stamped receipt or attendees who need a Certificate of Participation may obtain those at the registration table.


Badge Corrections

PPlease see the registration desk with any needed badge corrections.

Speaker Check-in and Preview Station

Open during registration hours.

All speakers must visit Speaker Check-In to preview their slide presentation at least two hours before their scheduled session, or the day prior if presenting in the first session.

  • If you did not submit your presentation online by the deadline, you can submit it at Speaker Check-In and preview it.
  • If an issue is discovered during preview of your slide presentation, you may re-submit it.
  • Staff will be available for assistance.

Share your presentation files early, so they are ready when you arrive onsite.

SPIE Conference App information

This useful tool allows you to search and browse the program, special events, participants, and more. Syncs with My Schedule Tool and keeps you up to date on changes to the program. It integrates with Google Maps and provides views of area restaurants, stores, and venues.  It is free and available for iPhone and Android phones.

Complimentary wireless internet access is provided in meeting rooms and lobbies.

Lost and Found 

Registration table - Open during registration hours
Found items will be kept during the meeting and available only during registration hours. At the end of the meeting, all found items will be turned over to the university.

Food and beverage services

Complimentary coffee and breakfast breads will be provided each day.
Daily networking lunches are included with registration.

Parking at University of Waterloo 

  • From Columbia Street West, enter via Hagey Boulevard
  • Turn right onto Ring Road and turn left into Parking Lot M
  • Parking Lot M is available, pay to park
  • Mike and Ophelia Lazaridis Quantum-Nano Center (QNC Building) is an approximately 10-minute walk from this Parking Lot M
