Description
Join your fellow and prospective SPIE Student Chapter Members during this Sunday morning event series exclusively for you! RSVP is required for attendance. Don't miss out and register early!
Program outline:
8:30 - 9:00 AM: Welcome Ceremony - Enjoy breakfast while networking with new Chapter connections. Includes a brief welcome speech by SPIE Leadership.
9:00 - 10:15 AM: SPIE Student Chapter Playbook: Growing and Managing a Successful Student Chapter - SPIE Staff, Chapter Alumni, and current SPIE Chapter Members share best practices, tips and tricks for keeping your Chapter engaged and thriving year-over-year. Includes discussion group work.
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Thriving in Optics: A Values-Driven Career Strategy - This workshop led by SPIE Member, Rosario Porras-Aguilar, Associate Professor at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, guides students through identifying and aligning their core values with their career goals. Through interactive exercises and strategic planning, participants will gain clarity on their aspirations and develop actionable plans for achieving professional success.
Intended Audience
This event is open to RSVP'd registrants only who are SPIE Student Chapter Members, or students interested in forming a Chapter at their institution.
RSVPs are required by 28 July. After that date, go ahead and add your name to the RSVP list if you would like to attend, and we will try to accommodate. In this case, please be mindful of registered attendees and wait to help yourself to a meal until others are seated.
