Reflections Photo Feature: Brocken Spectre

The Brocken Spectre appears when a low sun is behind a person who is looking downwards into mist from a ridge or peak. The ghostly figure is no more than the shadow of the person projected forward through the mist. Both the shadows and the glory converge toward the antisolar point. The Brocken Spectre is a similar effect to anticrepuscular rays and cloud shadows.
