Dr. Manon Lallement is a postdoctoral researcher specialized in astronomical instrumentation at the Institut de Planétologie et d’Astrophysique de Grenoble (IPAG). Her work focuses on developing photonic technologies for mid-infrared nulling interferometry, with the aim of advancing the detection and characterization of exoplanets.
She defended her PhD thesis in October 2024 at Observatoire de Paris which was completed under the supervision of Elsa Huby and Sylvestre Lacour. Her doctoral research centered on photonics for astronomical interferometry at visible wavelengths, including the development of integrated circuits and photonic lanterns, the design of 3D-printed microlens arrays for efficient coupling into single-mode fibers, and interferometric data analysis.
