I am pleased to be part of the SPIE community and to contribute through the research carried out by my team and myself, both currently and in the past. I lead a laboratory focused on femtosecond lasers for material processing across a range of applications. Our goal is to bridge the gap between physics and engineering by developing methods that enhance spatial resolution and processing speed while maintaining the functionality of the modified materials. In recent years, our group has been working on techniques to shape temporally and spatially laser light in order to better control the effects produced by femtosecond laser pulses. These developments have potential applications in fields such as optics, biology, medicine, and tribology.
