He completed his Physics degree at the University of Murcia, where he began his scientific training. In 2024, he earned his PhD from the University of Kent (UK), specializing in high-speed optical coherence tomography (OCT). His doctoral stage included a six-month research stay at NKT Photonics in 2023, where he worked on the development and characterization of mode-locked lasers.
Following the completion of his doctorate, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher starting at the end of 2025, contributing to the miniaturization of full-field swept-source systems. He is currently continuing his research at the University of Castilla–La Mancha (UCLM), where he focuses on expanding the applications of OCT. His background combines expertise in ultrafast laser sources with optical instrumentation, centered on the design and implementation of advanced imaging systems for diverse scientific environments.
